Time-based VS Meter-based PMs

Time-based PM variation.
- PM1 and PM2 are for identical assets
- When FMEA was completed on these assets, it was determined that an inspection PM must be done every 30 days or 30,000 cycles.
- The decision was made to go with time-based PM’s. You let your technicians schedule their own work. They are assigned the PM at the beginning of the month and have till the end of the month to complete.
- You may be PM compliant, but not FMEA compliant.
Time-based PM variation.
- PM1 is issued on first day of month with a due date of January 31st. The PM is completed on the 29th of the month, 28 days after being issued.
- PM is compliant because it was completed by the end of the month.
Time-based PM variation.
- In February PM1 is issued on first day of month with a due date of February 28th. The PM is completed on the 5th of the month, 4 days after being issued.
- The PM is compliant because it was completed by the end of the month.
Time-based PM variation.
- In January PM2 is issued on first day of month with a due date of January 31st. The PM is completed on the 8th of the month, 7 Days after being issued.
- PM is compliant because it was completed by the end of the month.
Time-based PM variation.
- In February PM2 is issued on first day of month with a due date of January 31st. The PM is completed on the 26th of the month, 25 Days after being issued.
- PM is compliant because it was completed by the end of the month.
